edit- to be honest I listen to motorhead everyday, in fact, it's my neighbour that puts it (and he is partially deaf, for real) so... take a guess.

To announce first and foremost that I am a staunch Goblin fan, which logically continues with Simonetti and Frizzi. Although conventionally I support Steve Vai (seen him in concert too), Zappa, Malmsteen, Angelo, Whitesnake, Megadeth, Kraftwerk and John Barry to name but a few. Unconventionally I like the chip music of the MOS6581 and YM2149, which is me being a little eccentric.

True, he is. I grew up in the 80s, no I'm swayed by NWOBHM. However to my dying death I'll be a Hawkwind freak, and I've loved Killing Joke since their first album.

I can't be arsed with all this metal nowadays though. I do try, but I must be getting old. Sikth are listenable to a point.

The Mars Volta too - now there is a good band.

I have an Iron Maiden tattoo as well. Got it when Killers first came out when IM were 'good' and before Bruce joined. I preferred Paul Di'anno actually. But hey, that's my own preference and I've probably mutterred something similar back in this very same thread lol

Hehe, reading through this thread I already saw almost all the bands I like posted.

I'm into:

metal, mostly old stuff - Slayer, Metallica, Sepultura and of course At The Gates (if you don't know this band and like metal, CHECK IT OUT!!)
rock, same thing and sleazy stuff too - Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, Motley Crue
postpunk/darkwave: Joy Division, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus
punk: The Exploited (I disagree with George T here: I think "The Massacre" is one of their best albums), Crass, UK Subs, Dead Kennedys, Toy Dolls
Singer/songwriter: Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, Lou Reed

and lots of older and classic stuff like Pink Floyd, The Who, Velvet Underground, The Doors, etc

but also newer stuff like Tool, Faith No More, Audioslave, etc.

I'm listening to lots of varied genres, ther's only one genre I really detest: modern R&B. Man, that sucks monkeyballs.

Love'em! Mindblowing stuff for todays music climate. Most people can't stand them, but I think its genius; even that weird noise crap throughout Frances the Mute. Killingjokezzz you should check out my releases for FtM and Amputechture. I mixed all of the Frances the Mute tracks (and the single) together into 2 'cassette' length files, so you can hear mp3s without the breaks, album style.

I love ATDI too, and SParta is OK.

I just always have to hear some outrageous noodling and I'll listen. 3/4 E G D crap just dont do it for me. Every second has to bring something new or I loose interest. ADD-core HAHA! So some simple grooves still catch me. Wolfmother and the Raconteurs I'll admit to liking. Or Fragile by YES, Or Cephalic Carnage or King Crimson, maybe some good ol Pantera, or some metrosexual -Core music like Killswitch Engayge (lol sry joel), or it all depends on what kind of shit I've had to eat all day.

or maybe I'll just put on the most popular album of all time... PF Dark side of the Moon.

Like many of you guys I have been into metal for many years. It seems to recur that guys/gals into horror etc are often into metal too. Funny that... but it kinda makes sense i guess... I don't dress like a metaller tho, although i wear the odd metal tee-shirt. I'm more of a beat up pair of converse and a pair of skinny jeans sort of guy...

Some great M etal bands/albums that I like:

Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten / Pierced from within
Napalm Death - Scum / From Enslavement to Obliteration
Internal Bleeding - Driven to Conquer
Morbid Angel - Alters of Madness / Blessed are the Sick / Covenent
Pyrexia - Sermon of Mockery
Death - Symbolic
Immolation - Here in After / Failure for Gods
Slayer - Reign in Blood
Iron Maiden - everything from 1982 - 1990
Black Sabbath - Ozzy/Dio era

Also into a lot of Classic rock: Thin Lizzy, The Who, Led Zep, The Floyd - all the classics
I like a lot of jazz/fuison - John mclaughlin, Mahivshnu Orchestra, Tony Williams Lifetime, Miles Davis...

Like some folk: Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, Nick Drake
Like some new indie stuff like The Futureheads. Bloc Party are ok but a lot of that stuffs a bit shit.

rock 'n' roll
:beerchug: :beerchug:
