agreed , especially Arcturus and Lux Occulta (from Poland, hehe)
I listen to various kind of music, if I must I would say metal - it has special place in my heart/ear since I used to play in a few metal bands... still have guitar and amplifier...
to name few different:
Theatre of Tragedy
Sopor Aeternus
Umbra Et Imago
Deine Lakaien
XIII. Stolet? - gothic band from Czech (lots of lyrics about Nosferatu, undead, lycanthropy, vampires...)
Depeche Mode
Lacrimosa
and of course immortal artists: Danzig, Diamanda Gal?s
I also like soundtracks: Goblin (all albums, they are just great), 'Interview with the Vampire', 'Vampyros Lesbos', 'Bullitt', etc
lately I started to listen some 'classical' music: Gustav Mahler (symphonies) and Tomaso Albinoni comes to my mind now (I'm quite new to this) and even operas - Richard Wagner's 'The Ring of the Nibelung' (yeah, I know it's not 'opera' hehe), Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana'.
hmm. I think it's like with movies. I like to watch some classic movies, great directors, various genres... but if you ask me what I like most I say it loud:
horror

I got a vinyl of Diamanda Gal?s Saint of the Pit that I think I ripped a while ago...basically Bram Stokers Dracula borrows heavily from the music on that album.Glad to see others know of her existance

make that 3.....i also like the chemicals and the prodigy and even fatboy slim...and well the prodigy come from the town i live in (boy i've seen that lot mashed up a few times )
i used to DJ a lot during the 90's and was well into the early hardcore (old skool) from those days and have been known to rinse out some Happy hardcore and some headfuck gabba aswell .....basically i like most dance music that has come since then
as for other music it varies from Prince (saw him live at wembley arena '87) the cure (robert smith writes a great song) to the other extreme of slipknot/marilyn manson/rob zombie and such like but my main love has always been hard dance music as i DJ'd for a great many yrs off me 'ead on chemicals and booze

Glad to see that so many here like this album. It's my personal favourite too, but love all Death's albums. If I have to say something bad about Human. There's only two things; way too short. One or two tracks more and damn! Second: DiGiorgio's excellent bass tracks are mixed way too back... but these two little things don't mean that much

Even better than Death is Cryptopsy. Check out "None So Live", "None So Vile" or "Whisper Supremacy"
If you're a Death fan, check out their "Live in LA" disc, it's great! Although Symbolic is my favorite by them.

nope i'm afraid not i'm kind of not into "going out" anymore i don't feel it's the same at any rave/gathering as it once was for various reasons and anyway my wife got pissed off enough when i was out DJ'n every weekend for 12 years solid (why would i take her with me?) Purple.Nightmare wrote: | I like so much music and it really depends on my mood. been 2 soooo many gigs/clubs n festies. even saw Frank Zappa a few years ago |
definately depends on the mood you're in as to what you will want to listen to.....when i used to spin gabba on the decks...oh man there was some serious rage going around the place (good rage though)
