The director has tried intellectualising it as some kinda anti-war statement/metaphor.
He's full of piss.
The film's shite.

I thought it was actually very good in what it was promoting: a methaphor for the horrible war that plagued the country not even two decades ago. Everybody is a victim of a war, everybody gets fucked (literally or metaphorically). *
This movie is very powerful and IMO crafted too well to be cheaply categorized as exploitation.
*****************SPOILERS******************************************************************
And what Vukmir says before showing Milos the infamous newborn rape scene is actually true, what could be more representative of victimhood than to be raped as soon as you take your first breath ? I guess its hard for people not having experienced first-hand the barbaric acts that were commited during the bosnian war to imagine such atrocities but just do a little research and you wont believe what humans are capable of commiting...and you know whats the scariest part ? It really happened. No plastic doll involved, real human flesh.

A Serbian Film just got a total ban here in Norway, apparently after a wave of people contacted the authorities complaining about the film. That's what the news say, anyway, but I wonder just how big this "wave" supposedly was.
The last film to get a total ban here, was Ichi The Killer.
