i have just seen two dvd release version of this movie, the first one was 79min(Another World Entertainment version, is this the uncut version? or pal/ntsc diffrent runtime) and then a 82min version(unknow what company released this one), but the 82min version have some filming of a halloween party in the begining(nothing to do with the movie at all!). so if you take away that the 82min is exact as the 79min version... i believe that the 'the boogey man 1980' version at the video nasty collection section is this 82min version, even if it says 79min...

the scenes that are in the 79min version i think was a bit soft for a video nasties. have i seen the cut version or was boogeyman just a victim of the video nasty hysterica at the time and wasnt really that shocking?...

anyone know the exact runtime pal/ntsc of this one and what is cut if anything is cut??....

i google and this info did show up...

Re-released uncut in 2000 with an 18 certificate
An extended version was again passed uncut in 2004
Current UK status: Passed 18 uncut

i believe that the 79min Another World Entertainment version is of 2010... but havent found any info to verify if its uncut...

if the 82min is the extended version it is crap, that halloween scene have nothing to do with the movie at all, it looks as it is filmed after the 1980 and just added on...

The 1980 cinema release was uncut.

Released on video in November 1981 by Vipco.

The video was listed as video nasty in October 1983 but was dropped from the list in July 1985

Re-released after 44s of BBFC cuts in 1992 (Vipco)

Re-released uncut in 2000 with an 18 certificate

An extended version was again passed uncut in 2004

Current UK status: Passed 18 uncut

The uncut region 2 extended DVD is available at UK Amazon
The uncut region 1 DVD is available at US Amazon

All info on cuts in the VN list. I have all uncut DVDs of the Video Nasties and my Boogeyman runs for 1h 18m 44s which is on a PAL R2.
