Stephen King is in talks to write a Season 2 episode.

In the first season of The Walking Dead, we saw the characters go to some very dark places. Expect Season 2 to get much darker, especially for Andrea and Shane. The actors hinted that things are going to get worse before they get better for their respective characters, as Season 2 takes Rick and Company on a journey to Hershell's Farm.

Stephen King, being of course the guy that destroyed Lars Von Trier's Kingdom Hospital and only seems to have success in film when his material is either completely ditched or its not horror

Edgar Wright turned down directing an episode:
Quote:
Edgar Wright: Frank asked me to do a Walking Dead, actually. But I feel that there’s some subject matter that, like, even though it’d be great– and I love that show: I actually watched four of the six episodes uninterrupted in one run; it was like zombie Pringles– I think that with something like that, with some TV shows, you wanna be in on the ground floor.

So you don’t feel like…did you say no?

Edgar Wright: Well, I really enjoyed the first season, and I wouldn’t wanna be the guy that comes in and fucks it up.

Nick Frost: You probably would, too.
