Well, it had some nice preformances.. mainly by Seth Green and Jeffrey Coombs who are always great. And most important: Full Frontal Nudity. YEAY!
But for the story? Man I didn't understand shit!
Well it was about some book (necronomicon?) and some scientist... Was it all in the guys head? did he really kill that redhead? Did 'the house of love' even exist? what had they done to his head. implants...? what was the other dr. there for? what was the significanze of the attic? a symbol of his head? (top of the house..) Was that really Alice Cooper?
I'm stupid. Please make fun of me.

hahaha, my dimwitted comrade, i think some parts of that movie are open for interpretation.
my guesses-
when messing with the ol' necronomicon, the boundries of reality get faded. The attic was suposed to be his brain i would think. Combs was desparatly wanting the necronomicon to make himself more power full, so he did some tinkering with the main characters brain, erase short term memory, so he could try and get what he wanted. The locked trunk was where the main guy had knowledge he got from the book, knowledge about 'magic' so incomprehinsible he just couldnt grasp it. (guessing still) were he got pulled into the trunk, and then later opened it to be pulled in by his previous visit i think is one of those 'if you gaze for long into the abyss, the abyss gazes into you' thingees-i.e. Once he recalled/comprehended what was in the book, he had a little bit of that old god evil in him, and he couldnt 'unlearn it'.
just kidding i never saw the movie.

ah. ok. now it all makes senze no more. =)
Is there any film Coombs doesn't play insane?
I prefer 'From Beyond'. "Giving them drugs, taking their life away?" (check out the tune by Empiron - Narcotic Influence)

If it's Jeffrey Coombs, he plays a Ferengi called "Liquidator Brunt" (those are the dudes with the funny ears... he goes after Quark [think tax man] (who was the 2nd principal in Buffy the Vampire Slayer)). More importantly he's one of the main "baddies" in another role.

I don't think so unless you recognise one on here:

He does get his head blown off in Peter Jackson's "Frightners"
