Long story short... another old movie - that hasn't been posted here - but that really should...
Enjoy. :beerchug:

Intacto is a stylish but empty film that seems too ponderous for such a silly story line. Writer/director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo does an impressive job of expressing his and co-writer Andres Koppel's ideas in visual terms, whether it's an insect landing on a treacle-covered head or people running blindfolded through the woods, but the ideas themselves aren't all that remarkable. Basically, this is a film about people who have exceptional luck (which is presented as both a commodity and a superpower comparable to telepathy or being able to shoot lightning bolts out of your fingers) and would rather apply their powers to weird contests than to buying lottery tickets or betting on sports, for example. Despite some indications of friendship and romantic attachment in the story, the movie is generally cold and has little emotional resonance except for the performance of Max Von Sydow, who lends gravitas and a sense of melancholy to his role as a Holocaust survivor whose luck enabled him to survive.

So, if s.o already has this - please confirm...

got the stuffgen file complete, ran it through GSpot:

Codec: DivX 5.0

Framerate: 25FPS
Length: 1'44'05

Audio: 48khz, 121kb/s VBR

BUT:
the english subs are bad, they seem to have been done with online translation. the ones i found on edonkey had various errors and refused to work with MPC or VobSub (FFDshow loaded them).

I've fixed those errors:
intacto.eng-v0.srt
dvd.box.sk has spanish subs, i've mirrored them:
intacto.esp.srt

This movie is in no way "empty". But like usual, with those modern movies which try to attract mass but also finer taste, they messed the end up and turned the plot from formerly quite interesting and very bizarre into pure hollywood action style. IMO, without such a ending this movie could have reached cult status. Same thing with ?Haute Tension? which you can find somewhere else on this site. Good atmosphere, good actors, intense story, and then they let all the good work go for a pair of standard ideas of the white long beard sort...very sad, but also very true.

Finally got around to watch it.

Mesmerizing indeed! The beauty of this movie is in it's irony, both visual and spiritually. The emptyness of winning, and the cold draft of love. How redemption will only come once you let go.

The film made me think of Cronenberg in many ways: The whole 'hidden society', silent shots, cynic characters, extremley well written DEEP dialogue, good attention to details, fascination with the borderline normality, hints of the paranormal, circle composite plot, being draw to explore your fear...

Thank you very much for letting me know about this film! Enjoyed it imensly!

Would love to get the soundtrack, which was also very pleasant.
