Based on Raymond Briggs' book. A old British couple, Jim and Hilda, who live in the countryside, believe in the fact that the Government will always know what it is doing. However the world is fast heading for the Third World War between the US and the Soviets. Jim prepares for it by building a shelter using Goverment pamphlets however both of them still believe that the war will be fought like the Second World War and they can't fully understand that the war will be fought with nuclear weapons. All too soon, war breaks out and Jim and Hilda survives a nuclear blast. They stand back and wait, they believe, for help from the Government and for things to get back to normal in a couple of days, little knowing that help isn't on its way, and that, unknown to them, Jim and Hilda are slowly dying from the "fallout" radition poisoning and they will probably not survive...

NOTE :
This is a vhs to dvd rip so the source is not the greatest (it's pretty good though) but it's the only way you are going to get to see this classic animated movie as EVERY copy on the network currently is incomplete but if you are still not sure i've done some screenshots and a quick sample

it's got something to do with a previous install or upgrade certain files that where needed where not kept :wacky:

.....only way to solve it is to do a complete clean install

Finished this one,damn what a depressing outlook,are people really that stupid?I am inclined to beleive yes..let's set out the lawn chairs underneath the fallout...over half this movie I was shouting "You Idiot!!" as they seemingly have no clue as to what radiation sickness is..even on their deathbed.
Great music in this film,all throughout I was thinking damn that sounds like Pink Floyd...I was close :wink:
