 n       Dario Argento wanted to do something different after completing the  n
 n     Animal trilogy. He wanted to do a film that got away from the confines n
 n     of the giallo and was for the Italian viewer only. Dario decided for   n
 n     this kind of film to be a period piece called Le Cinque Giornate/Five  n
 n     Days in Milan(1973). Dario's work on the excellent Once Upon a Time in n
 n     the West(1969) played a big part in the making of the movie.           n
 n        Five Days in Milan(1973)shares many traits with a Sergio Leone film n
 n     known as A Fistful of Dynamite(1972). The story takes place during the n 
 n     Italian Revolution of 1848. It tried to copy the style of The Wild     n
 n     Bunch(1969) without the same results of success. The story by Dario    n
 n     Argento is not as good as some of the stories for his best Giallos.    n
 n        The acting is average and the acting of the lead actor is not very  n
 n     good. The director did this film because of a feeling that the Giallo  n
 n     had run its course and was done. Argento tried to do a remake of       n
 n     Frankenstein before embarking to do another Giallo that would be betterO
 n     then the three previous ones of Bird With The Crystal Plumage(1969),   n
 n     Cat O'Nine Tails(1970), and 4 Flies on Grey Velvet(1972).              n
 n     Five Days of Milan(1973) is an unique film by Dario Argento that is    n

 n    This movie was taken from Luminous film Wurks DvD-R.The quality is      n
 n  so-so as if taken from a VHS tape and transfered to DVD-R.I had to leave  n
 n  a bit of the bottom border to fully capture the Hardcoded English Subs.   n
 n  It was either that or crop the subs and make my own which would really    n
 n  IMO look ridiculous and confusing to the viewer.                          n
 n    I enjoyed the film Myself and would actually rate this as Spagetti      n
 n  Western/Comedy.Not as good as Once upon a Time in the West but very good  n
 n  to have for the Argento Collector.I personally think it is worth the d/l. n
 n    Made a 2 cd rip of this one for time plus the fact of the border        n
 n  cropping issue.The original Italian language is preserved for the audio.  n
 n    If you have a gander at the AR well...it is just one of those releases  n
 n  that the film kind of jumps around a bit not really staying at a set AR.  n

Well, read the nfo :mrgreen:

...like it says there is a bottom border cropping issue because of the hardcoded english subs.I am sure STR will post some screens so you can all see what you are grabbing :wink:

Cool man....I notice on my end people are grabbing alot more other things from me than this one..Not as many equests on me as I thought...I still am getting requests over old rips from almost a year ago in most cases before this one is beeing given out....Is the movie spreading well?I lowered the priority on a few of the things I had shared....so if anyone gets stuck let me know and I will see what I can do for you..maybe run another mule again like before :wink:

Yeah I know about you karst

You are always a bit on the bottom end of the rips for some reason..I am gonna install another mule client on my Daughter's machine tonight and only have the most prioritised rips on it since she is hardly ever home anymore and is out and about. :wink:
