Ehi, I have
NO merits on this one, Fitz did all the work!
I just provided a link to a japanese page on the internet with some info on the series.
@TheNomad: sure the use of the boys in ETK is quite upsetting...
here and now. Sadly we've been living through years of heavy terrorism which badly mauled our capacity to have a serene relation with the sight of the nudity of a child ( god, I am actually afraid while I'm writing this, measuring up the words etc...
and obviously feeling the need to explicitily say that I'm
not at all interested, attracted or in any way aroused by that nudity...). I think this terrorism is having and will have some quite bad effects on (our) children, not unlike the molestations in the end (they're both made of the same stuff, an insane obsessive interest and "misreading" of the body of a child).
But all this has very little to do with ETK in Japan in the sixties, and I doubt any of the child actors, in that climate back then, had any lasting effects.
What we should worry about are the omnipresent use, nowadays, of very young boys and girls
dressed sensually as adults in the advertisemets and fashion industry, not nudity. Sadly for most people the "dressed body", the hidden and masked body is the only language of desire they can speak; and because it's what you write on the body with dresses (and not the body itself) that is desired, those photos create much more confusions of libido (and then with confusion come fear, and repression of unrelated good things) than any showing of naked, unactractive raw bodies.
Just my 2 cents...
