Plot: The family of aging millionaire Jason Crockett gather to celebrate his birthday party on his private island in the middle of a lake. But while speedboating they accidentally run down ecological photographer Pickett Smith. They insist that Smith come back with to the house with them where he becomes drawn into the family bickering. But as the party continues various family members and servants start to turn up dead as frogs, snakes and the local fauna all seeming to be conspiring together to kill them.

Frogs was a popular film when it came out. It jumped on the success of the Animals Attack theme popularized by the surprise hit of Willard (1971) the previous year and to gain its peak a couple of years later with Jaws (1975). Although rather than Willard, the film really draws its inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963) and uses many elements from The Birds to set in place the formula that was copied by many subsequent entries in the Nature’s Revenge cycle - the group at siege from nature in an isolated setting; flora and fauna on the rampage; no explanation offered or else it being tied to humanity’s exploitation of nature; and the downbeat ending with Nature triumphant and seen as humanity’s natural successor

from what i hear this film actually hardly has any frogs in it and most the killing etc is done by other creatures and bugs

I was also wondering that. I see him a lot in my queue but have never seen him on the forum. I come across a lot of HHAH users that i've never seen on here. I see a lot of guys with a pile of tags added to their nicks but i won't add them as friends unless i've seen them chat here. Do you guys add them as friends anyway because of the HHAH tag regardless if they've said anything? Do you think there's a lot of silent HHAH members?

yeah, i experienced the exact same thing. and no i don't add them as soon as they have the HHAH tag. people who use our tag in the mule could at least say hi in this thread: Welcome to HHAH

btw, it's also strange how many users are registered but have never ever posted anything in the forum. i mean just have a look at the memberlist! :matrix:

Hey ppl, I just saw this thread.

Frogs is an excellent film, one of my favorite "animal attack" films ever. Very highly recommended. I gave it 5 stars out of 5!

This one has already been set on release priority, for the past day or two.

You're welcome Koff! :D

I didn't rip this film but I think it's a DVD rip, I'd say the quality is excellent. I don't know how to do screen captures, but you should be able to see a preview at this point.

This film is hilarious. Especially if you like 'em unintentionally funny.
