So is this a fully "not missing even a split of a second" 104min uncut version? Including "Braindead opens with a closeup of the New Zealand flag, which then changes to the Queen riding accross a courtyard, finishing with a close up her on horseback. God Save The Queen is playing in the background. The opening sequence in Sumatra that begins Dead Alive follows." scene ?
Can't see the runtime and I'm not familiar with this dvd:

Unfortunately, I can't figure it out myself.

As for the scene with the queen, I thought it was the standard opening for Braindead (as opposed to Dead Alive). I have it on VHS, it is impressive.

Plz, don't forget to post here when you finally verify the playing time.

Bad news:

There are a lot of different DVD versions of 'Braindead' on the German market. On all of them, a different running time is printed on the box (99 to 107 mins), but all run 100 mins and are uncut. One version released as 'Dead Alive' features both the German and the English audio track

The old German Video from the IMV Label was cut a few minutes in violnce-scenes. It was cut to get an FSK18 Rating. Although the Tape was over 10 Years avaiable and strong cut, it has been banned now.

It shouldn't be THAT hard to work out, The UK dvd is Uncut, if we don't get this cleared up soon, I'll buy it and rip it myself

I just got the one I ordered in the mail yesterday (just grabbed it from the mailbox a few minutes ago). It's the German Red Edition, it runs a little over 99 minutes, but the queen sequence is missing. What the hell? It's got English and German 2.0 and German 5.1 audio. I don't know what one I have, but it doesn't appear to be the full version damn it.

Btw, it's FSK18.

Looks like arundel is on Hybrid, which means that it's going to take ages until this one spreads. So I think we need another rip. I'm going to leave this one here until somebody rips the DVD-r, after all, it is verified and it is not dead, but I'll replace the links as soon as the STR version appears. :mrgreen:

Let me know if you need help. Whether I need the releases or not, I can grab them and set them to release once I get them complete (I usually d/l fairly quickly). I've got a pretty decent upload speed. I've also been doing some hard drive cleaning lately so I have some extra space.
