Sounds like you need a dts filter..Check Doom9, they should have something..or check wit gspot..it will tell you if you have the proper codec installed and if not will send you to get it.

Try ffdshow - in newer versions it also decodes audio, DTS is among supported formats. I tried it and everything worked OK.

You can also try Media Player Classic. Latest version has internal DTS decoder.

Or you could try your DVD player. Like PowerDVD. But bundled versions do not play DTS. Purchase of additional DTS pack is required for PowerDVD 6.

I tried Media Player Classic, but for some odd reason, it makes the movie lag...sound works...but it makes the movie lag so i can't watch it :S

And I guess i could try powerdvd...ill check it out

I would suggest the problem lies elsewhere, because media player's main advantage is its extremely low on resource usage.

I would seriously consider removing all your codecs and installing necessary one, sounds more likely you've got gunk on your system... you didn't... *gasp* install a codec pack did you?
