-------------------

This great jewel was loosely based on the novel by Henry James: "Another turn of the Screw".
Later "Another turn of the Screw" was taken to the big screen in form of "The Innocents" directed by Jack Clayton. The director Carlos Enrique Taboada, decided to base [loosely] on both (the book and the film) to create this great film, undoubtedly one of the best movies of the Mexican cinema of all times.

Subtitles were done at asia-team.net.
These subtitles were done by hearing each and every line, writing them into Spanish and then translating into English by me.

Please be aware that respecting our job is very valuable, since many hours were dedicated into this subtitle creation, also, please if you find some kind of syntax error, please let me know by PM or using this same forum, so we can correct them ASAP. We tried to do a very good job, however human errors do occur.

Also, the rip was done from a VHS (which had a negative copy of the original film), the quality was a little bit bad due to VHS use, and I did some digital cleaning to the film to give it a better quality, it has been around since last year, but the project of bringing subtitles to this movie so ppl from different countries (other than Spanish speaking ones) can enjoy this great film is almost finished.

Hope you enjoy this movie as much as we do.

I just fired up the mule to get this one, and am going to watch it now....
just for the slightest chance El Santo is in it. Man, I love that guy and on the odd chance he makes an appearance in any version of 'turn of the screw'/'the innocents' would really put the vague implications of child possessions/ sexual deviant leanings into an understandable perspective for me. And then El Santo would put the smack down on 'em.
I think i'm not alone when I say that El Santo has got to be one of the greatest men - nay, the greatest hero and role model of all time. Not just Mexico's own, but a inspiration to the entire world....(and I'm lookin right at you, Canada). And on the odd chance El Santo would run for President, (or El Presidente), I say go for it, I'd vote early, and I'd vote often.

-edited in-
Ahem, after watching this, sans El santo, I retract the above statement.
Still 'El Santo vs the Vampire women' kicked ass.

I refuse to believe El Santo isn't in every mexican movie. He's in there, hiding in the background, lurking behind a tree, ready to pounce and bodyslam his way to justice.

To say el santo isn't in every mexi-movie is like saying godzilla isn't in every japanese movie, it's just not true. Godzilla's in there, also lurking behind a tree, allthough a slightly larger tree.

at least that's how things work in my world.
