It has some bad cropping on the left and right, more on the left, but not noticeable after you watch it on TV.
Source is from an older PAL Region 2 DVD.
Sound quality is good, This is my 1st post, but I've had other rips, I've never done one in PAL though.
If anyone wants the full 4GB DVD of this I can rip it and share it.

Could you please post images from the actual rip? :wacky:

I am sad to see that you don't even bother cropping correctly. A quality factor of 0,09 is quite bad too. :( Please don't take it personal, but as constructive criticism. You also did a packed bitstream encoding, which means that the rip will not play on a lot of standalones.

Since there are 450 MB CDs, there is no reason of doing rip smaller than 700 MB, but the lack of knowledge not to do so. Why are you in such a hurry? If you remove your post I am sure we can find a way to improve your work.

Thanks for your effort Gorenography looks like a fun flik, but you do need to post screens from the rip itself, best to use vdub. What did you use to rip it Gknot or AutoGK best to try to get to grips with Gknot. Most of the issues mentioned can be sorted with Gknot all except for people wasting their money on shitty standalones

Okay, I edited the post, the shots of the actual images from the XviD are up. I'm sorry I couldn't rip it better, I ripped it 3 times and it took 3 days to rip each time, ended up deleting the 2 rips, one was too big and one was too small. This one turned out decent, it isn't perfect though, I don't mean to seem like I don't care cause I do, but if you don't want it just don't download it, Science the picture looked about the same as the larger rip I made I figured 200 more MB wouldn't make a huge difference, and the caps from the DVD I took really hasn't change much from the XviD. It's a very noisy source, That's why I put it in the low quality section. My external won't let me work with the files on it, if you want though like I stated above I can rip the full DVD. I'd be glad to do that with no problem. As soon as I get a new HD expect a better rip though... I have many more imports, japanese DVD's, better quality stuff than this I'll rip. it shouldn't be too long until I just get a whole new PC and out of all my DVD's (I have litterly hundreds of just horror dvd's, uncut) I'll start mass ripping stuff that isn't already up. I can already see I have a few movies that aren't on here, and of course I'll use the same program you guys use, it seems alot better than the crap I've been using and faster too once I get the hang of it, and the space.
Thanks everyone :)
Enjoy this temporarily, I'll have a better rip up soon as I can.

Hi, I really appreciate it that you're trying your best and that you're willing to try better programs (Gordian Knot) in the near future. Until then, though, I would nuke this (take it out of share), because if people will watch this after they have dowloaded it, they won't download your new rip, which will be better looking. And that better looking rip deserves to be downloaded more than this one. I know this can feel like killing your first effort, but, trust me: it will pay off.

Good luck on future rips! :beerchug:

It isn't a big deal really, if you wish to delete it you can, it's a lower quality rip and my others will be high quality, this is really one of the few old DVD's I own lower quality, I guess that's what the caps are for to determine if it's worth downloading.

I'm not talking about deleting this topic, I'm talking about unsharing the rip temporarily. Only you can do that. When you have made a better rip of this movie, we can put it back up again.

Lower quality forum is indeed for lower q rips as you say, but this rip can be improved because you own the DVD, and therefore I posted what I posted above.

I'll go with ferox rip :beerchug:
Gorenography: what CPU have you got? An AthlonXP 2100+ with 1Gb ram can make divx with AutoGK in about 4/5 hours, I've done many with my old PC..

hmm... amule got mad on me and turned itself off.. that's why you're not seeing me now :P

I'm working onto fixing that problem now :beerchug:

I'm using a good machine in this download, so if you see me, give me friend slot and I'll upload all the data I can to you and the rest of the peers (can upload up to 2.5 Mb/s, but it has been capped to 700k to avoid 'choking of clients' )

...that's why I was able to upload The Severed Arm @ good speeds ;)

Do you also regularly run into the problem of aMule closing it self just like that?
It seems to happen when I scroll down the upload queue very fast or when I close a search result tab before the search is finished.

well... it's actually running like a daemon in a "mule-box" i built ;)

(it's like a seedbox, but running amule, betcha'll ready knew that)

I use the webpage to access it (or the amule gui app)

This time, amule closed when the o.s. found out there was no more hard drive space; and although amule is set so it uses the whole space the file will use, it seems like it needs some space for cache, and when it runs out of cache, it just closes itself (I was downloading torrents too lol)
