you might need to try using gknot:

@ 500mb for a 90min film I would have thought it suffered really bad from pixelation (as your bitrate is very low, TDX i think says never go under 800kb/s and this one is 600kb/s). To see this at its worst, scan through the movie to a high motion scene and take a shot there.

I would have thought would have been unwatchable at those specs, but those screenshots look pretty decent.

What you need to do is bump your video bitrate up a heck of a lot. If you use gknot, or even autoknot you should get a lot better results.

I'll take a look and give you some more feedback when I get it downloaded.. still trying to get ticks as it stands

i have a GORiE rip of the above. what does that extreme version mean exactly?

the running time of my rip is 01:23:52. i checked and theyve cut out a few minutes of the endind titles. or am i missing some neat gore scenes? :twisted:

is anyone interested of gories rip? teh specs:

VIPCO's "extreme" DVD version is not as cut as their previous VHS release (7 seconds rather than 26 seconds).

Is the GORiE one a VHS rip or from the Dragon DVD? Whatever it is can you post the link for it please?

Hey spud, I tried AutoGknot, but I could'nt find where to put in the bitrate.

Forget it. I found a good guideline, so I will remove the link at try to come up with a decent release tomorrow morning.

I just started today (I'll add you as a friend Tiz - is that your name on the mule, hopefully I'll have some parts you need) - will put on release as soon as it shows up in my shared list. Been waitin to see this. Once The Slayer comes in I'll have to rip it - I'm sure nobody wants a full DVD considering my DSL line is capped at 256K up. Wish I could afford SDSL so my up was 3Mb like my down is. Sucks that Bell upped the download speed but didn't ip the upload cap to at least 768K or so.

Just finished this today. Anyone still need me to keep it on release, stats say I've U/L over 3GB. I'll keep it on release for now, although I may have to close e-mule if my games start stuttering as my second PC is out of comish till I get my new HD in. Then again, I've got a litre of tequila and a litre of Grand Marinier for margaritas, so I may be too drunk to game in which case my e-mule will run 24/7 for awhile, well till tomorrow at least.
