From ACF. Posted to Unverified, because there are no screens and it may not fall into "High Quality" as expected by this site. ;)

This is a rip from the UK Momentum DVD which apparently is a more complete version than the IVL. However, the IVL version may have parts that are missing here.
I didn't care enough to look into it too much but you can read a topic regarding this @ KFF.
Previous release here.

Plot:
One of the most talked about cult films ever made--a masterpiece of the macabre, the martial arts, and the just plain weird. Lo Lieh stars as the insane swordsman who makes Chinese lamps from--yes--the skin of his enemies' sisters, mistresses, and wives!

Overview:
This is it: one of the most talked about cult films ever made--a maniacal masterpiece of the macabre, the martial arts, and the just plain weird. Shaw's first international star, Lo Lieh, stars as the insane swordsman who makes Chinese lamps from--yes--the skin of his enemies' sisters, mistresses, and wives! Although insanely conceived, it is beautifully filmed and unashamedly performed by a first-rate cast of sext starlets and kung fu favorites.

Cast:
Lau Wing, Lo Lieh, Chen Kuan Tai, Tim Lei, Sun Chien, Choh Seung Wan, Lam Sau Kwan, Lo Meng, Ngaai Fei, Siu Yam Yam

Thanks trep, are they on the rip?

I ask, because sometimes PowerDVD seems to add black bars to its screenshots.

I used Xine under Gnu/Linux, so the black bars are genuine I'm afraid. But it's a very very small cropping problem, it doesn't affect quality imo. Yet I'm afraid Spud's opinion will be different :P (he's kind of obsessed by black bars, you know ;))

I'm more bothered about the blurry/out of focus picture and the low budget and the age of the movie. Bad cropping doesn't degrade the quality that much here, but the picture quality doesn't look too high from that shot either.

definitely a high quality rls(*) of a SUPERIOR MOVIE 8)

(*) ive got plenty of flix from hhah`s hi-q section that look worse....
in other words, its peachy quality, the cap isnt all too representative.

its kind of a grim morbid fantasy tale, very dark, well acted by some of the coolest (actually famous for their martial arts movies) hk actors of the days.
got a little (sweet!) gung fu fighting for yall in there too.

moody gem, not really horrifying or something around those lines, big fun for ppl that dont mind old schoolish movies.
imo, the director sun chung is one of the best (martial arts) action movie directors to this very day. great sense for effective n smart action photography.
theres an alternative version (3, 4 mins shorter but having some scenes this one doesnt have) out as well (possibly posted here b4, im having a feeling it has been)

ed2k: Human.Lanterns.[MHK].ogm  [700.35 Mb] [Stats]
ed2k: Human.lanterns.[MHK].srt  [52.5 Kb] [Stats]

great stuff. a well earned 8.5/10. classic material with class, highly recommended.

I got the ogm version too...I was going to post that but...well...it is fucking ogm and I ain't about to promote it.The film wasn't as sick as I thought it would be, kind of along the lines of Deadly Secret for those that have checked that one out.

Nice idea, however I'm not sure. The caps are too dark to find bad cropping in this one too. :shadey:

Just noticed that this is exactly the same rip that has been posted before. You could simply trash this without merging.
