WoW what a cool serie! You've seen 'Blood: The Last Vampire' and (hopefully) 'Kite'. Well put a + between the two and you get Hellsing!
It's basically just another 'vampire kills vampires' plot, but oh so much fun. The ultra cool Alucard is constantly looking for a wotrhy opponant, but his powers are too imense. Blood and limbs are flying all over the place.
The music is also very cool. Kinda spanish guitar rock thingy.. reminded me a little about the 'Desperado' soundtrack.
The only thing that sucks about this serie is that there are no more eps.

Yep, have seen this series. Really great. The only thing what bother me is, whether the spelling of his name "Alucard" is genuine or just a glitch in the translation. In the movies I always understood "Arcado", which would be the correct rendering of a from the Japanese foreign name as "Alucard". But since this name has a special meaning (I suppose everyone of you have already read it backwards), I want to know it for sure. In a fan site of this series was mentiones that it does not mean what it seems to mean. But perhaps there is more in the mangas. Should really get them, too. :-)

never seen kite. I'm no big fan of anime, but I love Akira. I wasn't that fond of Vampire Hunter D (twas character design that put me off). But I liked Blood (was on channel 4 animation festival earlier this year :) )

I will download this now though, thanks for the links. Hope it's another series that will show me why everyone loves anime (like Akira did :) )

ok, but you should give it a few eps before you decide though... the first eps are kinda slow (read as: GREAT, but it gets better).

anyway, each ep is just 20 min..

I really liked 'Kite' too. loved it for it's rawness and brutality. you should check it out.

'Ninja Scroll' is also very good IMO

ahhh... just hope this is the english dubbed version. I'm watching it on dvd, so I wouldn't know. Even though I guess it was originally in Japanese, as it plays out in England I think it fitted better for them to speak with a brit accent, than reading subs. The english voice acting is pretty good too.

It was originally Japanese. Don't know about the language in your links. Though... .ogm could easily countain both.

Btw, J.-D. if you liked Hellsing, try:
Pet Shop of Horror

Ok, it does not play in the same league, but still very nice stories.

I have it complete. If an episode needs resharing: ask. I'd like to keep this one going.
