And again I fly in the face of popular (well Spud's) opinion, as I really enjoyed this one.

Although it would have been better as a Masters Of Sci-Fi episode

I agree with PC-Arcade, however actually this season is so disappointing (except for Family and Pelts)...

The Screwfly Solution *

The Screwfly Solution is a transparent amateur piece of crap. The story is incredibly dumb with unrealistic dialogue. All of which did not help the laughable and sadly pathetic acting. I guess this was probably down to inexperience on their part and the British woman was just terrible, even Elliott Gould is misplaced. The characters are not believable in the slightest. It is like being spoon fed mashed potato when you don't have a choice in the matter, stop please, no more, please help. Who the hell cast these people? Another thing that really annoys the hell out of me is jerky camera work. I just can't tolerate it, and this was bad, very bad. It gives the impression of a production team and director 'going through the motions' and the result is bland, uninteresting generic crap. I actually switched it off after twenty minutes because I just could not take it any more. However I did fast forward it and guess what? There is a strip joint scene, yes, there is tits and ass in this one too.

Maybe it's because Nice T&A aren't compatible with great acting

I still like this show, the Made-for-TV shows on a bunch of the episodes though. Its existence is better than it not existing. Better than the mostly lame Nm&Ds poopies.

Bingo. I'll watch anything by (most of) these directors. I'm thrilled to see them working again, and the series has fully restored my faith in Argento as a great director (if anybody objects to this, watch The Card Player and get back to me)

You are right GrindCallus, I really miss the old times when series like "Night Gallery" or "The Sixth Sense" kept me begging to my parents for a chance to watch them the late night they were aired

Definitely you are right, more great themes here, and to be a TV show it has lots of the Horror, gore and creepyness that I love :D

Of course its existence is better than nothing, and the curiosity to see the next episode is always high, but I expected more quality, expecially from directors like Hooper and Carpenter, while Pelts was definitely better than Jennifer on the 1st season. However ther's plenty of blood and gore for a tv show, and that's enough.

I finally was able to watch the latest episode: The Screwfly Solution; I was waiting for a total piece of crap, and I got a nice surprise, not horror, but a horrible posibile future for mankind; as PC_Arcade said, it was more of Sci-Fi than horror. The acting wasn't good, but it wasn't that bad, I could say that "it just was".

The few special effects in it were good SE, but unfortunately the plot was very predictible, it was a mix between SK's "The Stand" and Graham Baker's "Impulse".

Definetely Not the best but I hope this one is the worst one this season.

T&A saves the day for it :wacky: So... to me, it gets 2 1/4 stars.

 I'm still beting on Stuart Gordon's "The Black Cat"

Acording to TV.COM we won't have a new episode until December the 29th :(

Maybe better things are yet to come after this little break :)

So, you expect Hooper to make good movies? Have you seen anything he's made in the last 20 years?

Its highly likely that Speilberg directed most of Poltergeist :wacky:
