The Shining (mini-series)
http://www.imdb.com/Title?0118460
Quote:
Television adaptation of Stephen King novel that follows a recovering alcoholic professor. He ends up taking a job as a winter caretaker for a remote Colorado hotel which he seeks as an opportunity to finish a piece of work. With his wife and son with him, the caretaker settles in, only to see visions of the hotel's long deceased employees and guests. With evil intentions, they manipulate him into his dark side which takes a toll on he and his family.

Written and produced by Stephen King, this version's story is what King wanted from a deeply personal and partly biographical story. This is however, commonly regarded as inferior to Kubrick's classic and brilliant film of the same title

This release was made by Kataya over at http://www.dead-donkey.com and I've downloaded all the discs from FTP to help them spread. Although all 4 cd links have been posted and I am sharing them, i think it might be a better idea to share them one at a time, to help focus bandwidth on each. This was neither ripped by me or Katya, and it seems that cd1/2 were split as they were over 700mb combined.

The Shining miniseries cd1.AVI
The Shining miniseries cd2.AVI
The Shining miniseries cd3.AVI
The Shining miniseries cd4.AVI

ATM I'm getting eps 3 and 4 from Katya's server and will share them on rel prio when the time comes (I think it's time to release ep. 3, as ep. 1 seems to be spread really well).

I hope my ftp client doesn't add any shit to the file so the hash remain the same (btw, do you know of any ftp client that would be absolutely sure not to do it?).

I actually think episode 3 is the best spread, or at least the second best spread :o It certainly has more GB uploaded than 2 and 4 put together. Episode 1 has lots transfered. But atm my queue is full up of requests for episode 3 :)

I think it's episode 4 that needs the most work if you can help with that :) It hasn't broken 1GB yet.

Once this release has a few sources i can finally get waxwork on the go :)

FXP is the best ftp client I've used, and used for these files. All have the same hashes as kats and during cd3 and cd4 i got disconnected a few times. I think there's an option to set rollback somewhere in the client, i think i set it to 200kb :)

OK, switched to ep. 4, will share it tomorrow. Then I could go for Secret Life of J. Dahmer or Henry - Portrait part two, if someone could inform me which one needs it more.

the original is infinitely better than this pap. This version bombed like lots of Stephens small screen ventures.

oh and shame on you :matrix:

How can anyone not see The Shining, not only is it a high profile horror movie, its by one of the greatest directors.... period! You want the european version of the shining, its a much tighter edit.

Hey, what's with the brackets? Without them your post would be much more readable.
