This is a weird release, but it IS a horror after all, so here you are. Found this on osiolek.com.

Image

A zany troupe of wooden puppet actors journeys forth in their ramshackle theatre on wheels, bringing you outrageous versions of classic tales of terror. In this first outing, the PUPHEDZ perform a take on Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart." It is a story of a young man driven to madness by his unnatural and torturous obsession with the deformed eye of the old man with whom he lives. Of course, it shouldn't be assumed that they live together for any other reason than saving rent money.Be warned, the PUPHEDZ are students of the Grand Guignol school of theatre. A healthy amount of sappy puppet blood drips between the laughter. The principle performers in the installment are Woodrow J. Larchbottom, III, who plays the tormented young man, Peter Feidwood, who provides a suitably cantankerous performance as the old man, Douglas "Chip" Fir, lending his gluttonous talents to Policeman #1 and Leif Applebaum, setting the stage afire whit his portrayal of vacuous Policeman #2.So, keep an eye out for the approach of the PUPHEDZ cart. When you see the snaggletooth smile of the cart puller, you'll know you're in for a fun time with the PUPHEDZ performers.

From Amazon:
Quite possibly the first Edgar Allan Poe story ever interpreted by puppets, Puphedz: The Tattle-Tale Heart is enthusiastically irreverent, immensely violent, and quite an amusing way to spend a half-hour. Through a series of flashbacks, straitjacketed Woodrow J. Larchbottom III recounts his bloody tale of obsession, madness, and murder in splendidly dramatic detail. Loosely following Poe's story, Woodrow slips into madness as he becomes increasingly disturbed by his uncle's deformed eye. As his plan to destroy the "evil" eye unfolds, torment turns to blood-curdling terror. Each carefully orchestrated scene is filled with eye-popping puppet gadgetry, innovative camera work, and often very funny one-liners. The acting may be wooden in Puphedz, but this pint-sized movie is certainly worth a peek. --Matt Wold

Watched this last night (the long version). Excellent, very entertaining and different, steeped in the "grand Guignol" tradition and comes highly recommended (at least by me ;) )

Thanks Polityk

Heheh, I enjoyed this too. Hope those guys make some more, there's a lot of great stories by Poe waiting to be "puphedized". :)

I wasn't sure about your reaction for this one here on the forum, so I'm glad you liked it.

Cheers.

Are the Puphedz dead? :)

I've had the Long Version complete for some time, but the other two seem to have dried up. Not a big deal, but would be nice to burn all three.

Have:

114.11/151.22 - 'Carving...'
145.86/234.06 - 'Short Version'

When i plucked that from my shares it was still well spread, but that was a while back. I can reshare that too if it's needed. I didn't bother trying to get the short one, I guess hardly anyone did which is why it's dried up, but I'd appreciate a reshare of the docu if anyone completed it.
