I think you need to get yourself a keygen to be able to download service packs. Is this what you mean, @ohgod?

I used to be an XP user.

But it was so lame.

Bassline & others suggested windows 2000. And i've never looked back.

NOT ONE SINGLE CRASH/FREEZE/FUCK UP!!!

And been running 24/7 for 4 months now

BUt I wish XP was as reliable coz I loved it

I dont understand the reliability issue - Its perfect on my machine
I have used 2k though and that is solid

Crashes in XP are usually the users fault......

I don't have any crashes either, although the system is very reliable only before something gets fucked up permanently, because then it's really hard to repair it - actually it's easier to reinstall the OS. But on the other hand, one should do it from time to time anyway.

Funny thing, the first and only crash I usually get is on a clean system with only drivers, and MS Office installed. It's usually Word or Excel that crashes.

I think you are right there Polityk
always the one after office and updates installed but then great....

I definitley agree that EVERYONE should reinstall their OS every 3 months or so - it gets rid of loads a crap.. and after a while you know what to save/move and it can be done in a couple of hours and you're back up and running clean

Strongly agree.

I've been running XP since it was released. Very few problems. And all had solutions.

Where's my Longhorn? :D
