Yes, I know that. I have the DVD :)

But wanted to post all the possible links if there are people (lurkers) searching for these and some of those links are probably already dead... so better to give a few alternatives :)

True that both Conquerer Worm and Witchfinder general are the same movie..but one is uncut and one isn't ..be interesting to see runtimes on the rips. They released a version on DvD that has both uncut and cut on it under the Witchfinder general label
I am almost through with both Dr. Phibes and the sequel and will post the verification and specs when done.
Now how about Theatre of Blood?Goes pretty much hand in hand with the Phibes movies..just wishing I guess.

Witchfinder General : Special Edition
Quote:
Complete Director's Cut
"At the time of it's original release the BBFC decided that certain scenes should be trimmed to comply with the rules on the deciption of violence.

In these more enlightened times we have been able to reinstigate these scenes to recreate the original director's cut.

However, please note that there may be some variation in picture and sound quality due to different mastering sources we have had to use to enable us to assemble this cut."

Runtime; 1h 22min 48sec

Complete Export Cut
"When this film was originally released some alternate versions of certain scenes were created to cater for more lenient foreign markets.

Here, we present the full export version, which includes more explit scenes.

However, please note that there may be some variation in picture and sound quality due to the different mastering sources we have had to use to enable us to assemble this cut."

Runtime; 1h 22min 48sec

So both versions are uncut versions of the movie. The 'export cut' just has more nudity (Like in bar scene the waitress's have bare breasts and in original cut they have their shirts on) =)
Don't know about the runtime of the rips, but these are the real ones.

Ah, I had the wrong link for TADP, so thanks for the Hypnos link :)

btw, maybe this thread should be split after my 'Thu Sep 25, 2003 12:45 pm' message and moved to 'VHS/CAM/Screener/Unverified releases section ? :)

It's going to be another 'huge' collection as he made quite many horror flicks; http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001637/
