Don't have emule running, but can't you go, Tools -> Import Downloads (eM, eD, ON, Shareaza)?

Right i thought you meant don't have emule running when you try this :wacky:

The import just says (eM, eD, ON) theres no shareaza.
It never worked. I'm dragging the part files to the emule temp dir now.

Just gonna rename them .part and .part.met see what happens.

*EDIT*

No that never worked

hmmm, perhaps its just NeoMule or one of the mods that has the feature. I was sure that the option was there.

For anyone else who wants to know this, apparently this works.

I'll have a go tomorrow.

Find the exactly same file with Edonkey

seems a little sketchy. Azureus has some kind of hash for other networks option I think.

Somebody might want to update the links for ftp2donkey. I had to register at some strange foreign forums to download it.

read the entire first page, the answer is in soiledpanties post.

There's also a feature now in emule to import part files, its under tools. I use this to migrate temp files to new emule installs to prevent a huge amount of resource usage as it hashes lots of files.

I suggest reading his post, following the steps, and then using emule>tools>import part file to import the edonkey part file into emule :)

The link posted in the first message no longer works. Is there somewhere else to get the program?

Welll I tried both methods:

The FTP2Donkey and the DMTorrent2part; here are the results:

First I tried FTP2Donkey, stated the elink and the file (which was an 88% torrent).

FTP2Donkey created 2 files: the .part and the part.met files

I went to my emule and imported them

eMule showed 100% complete for the file

I stopped the file and then resumed the file.

eMule strated to verify the file and came out with all parts corrupt (obviously as they were not complete)

In the end i was with like 2.5% of the 88% of the file....

2. Then I tried dmtorrent2part:

The app asked me for the .torrent file, I gave it to it.

This torrent was a 2 file folder, 1 was the movie, the other one was the subtitle file.

I chose the movie (higlighted it), then the app asks for the path to the incomplete file, so I gave it to it, and then gave the app the elink (using search in emule, I verified it was the same rip, etc, fortunately, the filename was the same along with complete file size).

Then I pressed the Show Gaps button (the author I think he meant Show Chunks instead of Show Gaps LOL).

The app starts to review the file and comes out with the all the downloaded and missing chunks of the torrent.

I then pressed Only Part Met, but I think it was possible to press the Make.. it doesn't matter.

I went to my torrent folder, and saw the part met file and the incomplete files there.

Since I just pressed Only Part Met, I renamed the movie.avi file to 0.part (so it has the same name as 0.part.met).

Then on emule I just imported the thing.

eMule imported the thing, and in % it showed that the file was 88%, just like the torrent was.

I stopped and resumed the new file

Well... eMule kept its 88% promise, and started to find sources :D

Now I only need 12% to complete the file and it has enough sources on it ;)

My veredict:
Use DMTorrent2Part, and don't worry ;)

If you downloaded something that wasn't made in chunks (like from an FTP, MSN, or the WEB) use FTP2Donkey ;)
