Ive got The Jitters on VHS and a capture Device, but have had absolutely no luck with getting it working with decent results.. I was using IUVCR, but if anyone can suggest an alternative, or wants to help me with this, I can get this one added...

The main thing is disc space and what codec are you capturing with?
I think there is a program I used to use called virtual vcr and that would give me decent results.I just use my pinnacle program to capture now as it gives me the best results so far.

This is the problem,
when it comes to encoding, codecs and stuff Im a total n00b - Ive used DrDivx in the past for dvds, but other than that, I tend to steer clear...
They've got Divx & Xvid listed as options in IUVCR, but the others (theres a few) Im not familiar with.
If you reckon Virtual VCR is a good one to go for, ill track it down.. however HD space isnt the best commodity round these parts... usually got a max of 5gb spare to f*ck around with...

There's also a hopping vampire porn called "Ghoul Sex Squad". And it's available on ed2k:

ed2k: Ghoul%20Sex%20Squad%20(1991)%20(Kung%20Fu%20Vampire%20XXX).wmv  [336.84 Mb] [Stats]
ed2k: Ghoul%20Sex%20Squad%20(1991)%20(Kung%20Fu%20Vampire%20XXX).mpg  [567.28 Mb] [Stats]

The first rip has no subs. I don't know how about the second one.

Ive run a 1.25 clip of it via IUCVR, if you're happy with the quality of this, I'll run the whole movie... otherwise, gonna need some help!

Cheers!

(oh yeah, got Intruder Within to follow, if I can get this running OK...)

Thanks a lot skantchy, grabbing it off you now :D
The best way to get help with VHS ripping on here I think would be to start a thread in the Help section like I did with GK. It definately worked for me

I shouldnt complain coz you'll be doing us all a favour by ripping/releasing this, but I do see what you mean by not getting very good results. Hopefully someone whos ripped many VHS tapes can d/l your clip & suggest to you a better way of ripping it. :wacky:

Main thing is to cap in an uncompressed or m-jpeg codec mode and then encode it down...no clue as to what hardware you are using though

So did you check the 469mb version? If it's subbed you could release it on the ed2k, you know :)

I have seen this one, it's aka "Tiger Love", Hong Kong 1980, directed by Lin I-hsiu & Hui Keung.
Incidentally, I have a badly cropped VCD edition, which has a serious advantage : it's subtitled in Chinese and English. As the German source is infinitely better, if someone is interested in re-copying the English subs (they are not removable), it could make an interesting source for other members of this forum. The soundtrack could be used as well (the German source is of course German-dubbed). If anyone is interested just contact me via PM or email and I could send the VCD edition via Pando.
