As I'm sure most of you are aware I'm making a new Troma collection... http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?t=14629
This is gonna be massive & I'm looking to see which way youd prefer it to be made. We can have just 1 very long list or I can split into categories, eg. Comedy, horror, action etc. So please use the poll to help me decide, thanks :)

I Voted for No. IMO it should stay as one collection instead of being split up. But in the end it's all good :beerchug:

I voted for No. But IMO it would be great if you put a plot summary and a note with the genre for every movie.

Good point. I agree with Malignus on the plot summary and note for genre :beerchug:

You might have misunderstood what I meant. I'm not talking about making several different collections, I'm talking about breaking down into sub genre & grouping together to make things easier to see what kind of film each is, yet still in the same single collection thread.

Well, I didn't misunderstood you. IMO it would be harder to group the movies by genres, since Troma released a lot of gore comedies (IMDB gives them 'horror' and 'comedy' genres) and where would you put them? Into the horror group or into the comedy group? It would be confusing eitherway.

I'm not using IMDB for genre, I'm going off several international troma sites for that, heres the most useful one.. http://international.tromamovies.com/uk/index.html

I voted for genre. It should be like the Ultimate Exploitation Collection. Everything is there and its easy to find what you're looking for.

How about splitting it into Troma productions and Troma releases, or at least concentrating on gathering together their own productions first.

When people think of Troma, after all, they think of Toxie, Class of Nuke 'Em High & Kabukiman and so on, the films made the studio so famous.

youre joking? I have no way of differentiating between the two realistically, theres almost 400 films with the troma tag on the box & none of the sites I've used have had enough info on wether theyre real tromas or troma distributions. :wacky:

Maybe split into different segments of the alphabet? It means the thread isn't so massive, but you aren't stuck trying to figure out what goes where :)

You didn't visit the biggest movie site on the internet?

http://www.imdb.com/company/co0019150/# ... X20company

There are 75 Troma productions so that alone should keep you busy for a while. :)

Some people will say a film is comedy whereas others will say it's horror. So it's up to one's opinion to decide which is which. So I think it's better to not split it.
