The FH Collection Builder drastically simplifies creating collections.

FH_Collection_Builder_0.4b.rar

version 0.4a

- added: split collection feature
- added: convert plain edk2k-links to HTML links feature
- added: possibility to organize the collection in groups
- added: year field (needed for sorting by year) and option to automatically add the movie year to the title
- added: sorting by year, by title, and by group
- added: option to create an ordered navigation list
- added: item counter and go-to-next/previous-item buttons
- changed: navigation entry for unavailable item links to information link
- fixed: FHCB now only asks if the collection should be saved when necessary
- fixed: collection image is now aligned to top
- fixed: a HTML link in the "Subs"-, "Add. Info"-, or the "Review"-field is interpreted as HTML link and not as plain text
- changed: if no "Text Rel. Thread" is provided, the "Link Rel. Thread" is used for the link. Analogical for Movie Info.
- changed: some GUI changes (I know, the cryptic button captions suck. Gonna change it asap)

Rudimentary Documentation

If you have no clue what this program is for, have a look at the 'Verified Collections' forum. A lot of the collections there are made using FHCB.

After you created the first .fhc file, associate this extension with FHCB.

Everything else should be self-explanatory, barring the following two features:

XML -> XSLT -> HTML

Besides being _the_ buzzword, XML is simply a way to store data in a plain text file in a well-defined manner. With XSLT you can display XML data. It's a stylesheet with which a browser or a XSLT processor 'transforms' the XML data to HTML (which then can be viewed by almost any browser).
To do this with FHCB, click on 'Export' and select 'XML -> XSLT -> HTML' as file format. Specify the file which will contain the final HTML. Select the XSLT stylesheet (e.g. the included example.xsl file). FHCB now launches the Xalan XSLT processor which transforms the XML data to HTML (and code for the fileheaven board) using the selected XSLT stylesheet.

More info on XML and XSLT: www.w3schools.com

GSpot support:

1. in the FHCB archive, you will find the file 'GSpot export format for FH Collection Builder.txt'
2. start GSpot
3. copy the content of the text file into the 'Export Format' EditBox (Options -> Export)
4. check 'one file per AVI' under 'File Setup'
5. specify a folder for the output file
6. now open the movie file in GSpot and drag the output file into the FHCB window
7. repeat step 6 if there is a second, third... CD

---

Thx to all people who contributed

Suggestions and bug reports welcome :)

is it ok if I use this for a collection over at HHAH?

You mean Spud's page? Sure you can use fhcb for it, maybe he will trade me even more star wars pogs than I received for a little php script I did

:wacky:

It's also fine by me if you copy the documentation in the original post and make a little thread at HHAH, so ppl don't just register here in order to get the program.

I have. Thank you Jesse James... :beerchug:

I guess that will help a certain moderator too... A guy with a brain inside, who writes scripts because he can't get the program. A punk! Someone with a nick beginning by "PC_" and finishing by "Arcade" or something like that...

"Certain moderator", the stuff is waiting for you on my folder...

For someone who gets so upset when he's called names, you're awfully keen to do it to others

You, proud of your script, which may help me, after all...

"No future!", I'm trying to change a few things in it, to make it fit exactly as I want, but with water inside my head instead of a brain, not so easy...

And BTW, I don't "get so upset when I'm called names" (if I understood this?), I get so upset when 10% of the world's population is called names. Punk! I'm not sure about what you mean, but if you mean what I think, you have to know that... :o Had to be said mister... And don't pick a quarrel, punk! or I'll call you "small ass!" as I do for "small ass!"... Huh!

I'm done with all that, but thanks. Will try it anyway.

May be helpful for others.
