I listen to a lot of hardcore, whether it be "new" or "old" school

I listen to more grind than anything (Gorerotted, Kalibas, Vulgar Pigeons, Pretty Little Flower, Cock And Ball Torture, Discordance Axis)

What about you?

I listen to mainly 3 genres: Goa, Ambient & Soundtracks.

Hmm,I listen to a lot of stuff, mostly metal(favorite Death Metal-band = Death and Carcass)because I play guitar for 10 years now but also a lot of other stuff....
There are a lot of soundtracks that I like (Equilibrium,House of 1000 Corpses),you could say I'm very openminded if it's about music.... :D

I give Rob Zombie credit I do like his music and his vids, but the movie kicks ass, still waiting for a directors cut on that.Mostly for me though it's bands like Annahl Nathrakh and Gaahlskagg, and I like some of the more trendy ones too like cradle of filth and Dimmu Borgir,Satyricon and that sort or thing.and of course Deicide.

Hmm,I stopped buying new Death-Metal CDs....
The greatest Era for Death-Metal were the 90's :
to name a few of the great albums of this period:
Carcass : Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious
Death : Human
Confessor : Condemned (craziest Drummer ever!!)
Entombed : Clandestine

Real metalheads will know these albums and can hum the songs backwards..... :D :P :D

We differ here...might be just when you got into it though.
Here is mine:
Carcass : Symphonies of Sickness
Death : Scream Bloody Gore
Confessor : never considered them really death metal I guess high pitched Death metal I suppose.
Entombed : The Left Hand Path.
Deicide - Deicide.no wait..fuck it..all Deicide

Yeah, maybe I got a little later into death metal....must have been in the 90's because I play guitar since I'm 15.....

You name all the classic albums here....but for example Carcass first showed their real talent on Necroticism,a masterpiece imho.....

Another band which never got the attention they deserved is Fear Factory, also one of my favourite bands.....
"Soul of a new Machine" is one of the greatest albums ever,it's not deathmetal,it's not grindcore nor industrial...Fear Factory made a unique and brilliant album!!!

btw, sorry for all this bullshit spam but I just emptied a bottle of jack daniels.....

Lots of metal:
Cradle Of Fear - mighty fine band
Old Man's Child - commercial, entertaining black metal
Deicide - no explanation needed
Hollenthon - folk/classic/black
Arcturus - one of the most ambitious metal bands
Saviour Machine - that's just my personal deviation
Iron Maiden - again, no xplanation needed
Metallica - but only old albums
Moonspell - "Vampiria, you are my destiny..."
Vital Remains - for Deicide fans
Lux Occulta - ...occult metal :)
Samael - old albums

But I also like Nick Cave very much.

Metal in almost of all it's forms. And some soundtracks...
There's too many good bands to mention. But here's some of my all time favourite albums, in no particular order.

Death: Human
Cynic: Focus
Opeth: Morningrise
Katatonia: Brave Murder Day
Cradle Of Filth: V Empire or Dark Faerytales...
At The Gates: Slaughter Of The Soul
King Diamond: Conspiracy
Mercyful Fate: Melissa
Malevolent Creation: Retribution
Morbid Angel: Blessed Are The Sick
Testament: The Gathering
Atheist: Unquestionable Presence
Dissection: Storm Of The Lights Bane
Dimmu Borgir: Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
Emperor: Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk
Pestilence: Testimony Of The Ancients
Arch Enemy: Wages Of Sin
Bolt Thrower: ...For Victory
Deicide: Deicide
Cannibal Corpse: Vile
Luciferion: Demonication (The Manifest)
Behemoth: Satanica
The 3rd And The Mortal: Tears Laid In Earth
Desultory: Bitterness
...
I'll stop here... guess that's pretty many already
Probably forgot some essential one, but that's pretty good list of what I like.
Don't listen that often anymore but from hard rock days:
WASP: Last Command
Twisted Sister: Stay Hungry
Ozzy Osbourne: Blizzard Of Ozz
Iron Maiden: Somewhere In Time
etc.

 Very nice to see here's so many people with same kind of music taste.
