a must see is TETSUO IRON MAN for sure. That is one of the best Japanese flicks I've ever seen.

Yes this movie is quite good, although at the end it seemed to turn into a gay robot love story. But if you like TETSUO then you will love TETSUO 2: Bodyhammer which is like the first one except MORE blood and it is in color.

Funny, but not so funny that it should have taken two years to come up with it.

Sick Nurses
A Tale Of Two Sisters
Evil Dead Trap (Already mentioned, but NEEDS TO BE SEEN)
The Untold Story (Again, already mentioned but is ESSENTIAL)
Biozombie

Not straight horror, but they deserve a mention:
School of The Holy Beast (Mesmerizing Japanese nunsploitation)
Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds (Gory Kaiju)
Electric Dragon, 80,000V (Completely absurd)

For the older stuff, I really enjoyed Onibaba and Jigoku. A print of Kuroneko is screening in town right now and I've gotta go see it!!!

As far as the new stuff is concerned, I went kinda wild with the Miike releases years back, hitting the big time flicks (Audition, Ichi, etc.) and some of the 100+ smaller films he's done. I've gotta say, I think Audition is his best film to date, but his more obscure stuff can be really, really fun. I got a chance to see prints of Happiness and the Katakuris and The Great Yokai War a while back and those were both a damn good time.

I agree 100% about Tetsuo. It's a must for any collection.

The film that set me down the Asian horror path was Suicide Club. I think I watched that movie four times in one day. It's fantastic and bizarre.

Park's revenge trilogy was amazing IMO.

I'd like to start watching more Thai/south Asian horror. There seems to be something cool going on down there.
