I just looked at the website i use for upcoming shows and well... there aren't any! Seriously, none at all.

Family Guy
American Dad
Simpsons
Dexter
South Park
Flight of the Choncords
etc.

Hell even Lost and Heroes are off...

So any series recommendations, finished or not, horror/scifi or DECENT drama series preferably, and maybe not american comedies since most of them are terrible (unless someone wants to try and prove me wrong)

Although it is not exactly my taste, my wife and I recently watched True Blood and enjoyed the first season. Will be waiting until Season 2 is over before watching again. I hate watching shows week by week.

I still miss Carnivale. :(

True Blood is good, it sort of grows in you. Didn't like the first episodes that much but then I got hooked. The Mentalist and Huff are pretty good too.

The big TV shows always run from Autumn to Spring, because viewing figures are lower in the Summer.

I suggest catching up on some old shows, or trying something new.

Carnivàle ftw! I hope that they will finally finish the story sometime with another season or maybe a movie.

I'll throw my hat in for True Blood. I didn't want to like it. I figured that any series based on a paranormal romance
book(s) has got to be horrible. Yet, it is not. Give it a go.

Other series that I have recently gotten in to:

Kings: A nice retelling of the David story of biblical fame. Ian McShane rules!
Battlestar Galacta: I should have watched this when it was on. It is my new crack replacement.
The Tudors: Okay, as many of you are Brits I may be out of line recommending this but I kinda like it.

I've hear Fringe is good but I haven't seen it myself.

Watch Edgar Wright's (of "Shaun of the Dead" fame) Earlier work... A show called "Spaced", it only lasted two seasons but it was a great comedy. It is amazing and the humor is similar to the Humor found in "Hot Fuzz" and "Shaun of the Dead".

Another show that I enjoy is "Breaking Bad" it is about a high school chemistry teacher who develops cancer and decides to create pure meth to pay for his hospital expenses and build up a fund to support his family when he is gone. The transition from family minded chemistry teacher to survival minded Meth cook is an interesting one.

and now something else...

A List of all the shows that were cancelled before their time (ones with devoted fans and large audiences)

Dead Wood
Carnivale
Fire Fly
Arrested Development
Freaks and Geeks
Farscape
Rome
Spaced
Undeclared
Dead Like Me

Some shows would have thrived had the Networks just let them develop and last more than a few episodes or even seasons. Many Networks kill shows before their time but number one network to destroy shows before their time is FOX. That network aired UnDeclared and Fire fly episodes out of sequential order (to make continuity harder to grasp) because they didn't believe in the shows. Now people just don't expect as much from their TV shows. Despite a couple of rarities (I don't dislike "The Office" or "30 Rock") MOST American Television is drab and unentertaining now days. I find myself enjoying old 90s shows due to their nostalgic value (especially old episodes of "Married with Children")

I like Fringe, it keeps getting better (and more ridiculous).

True Blood I am looking forward too.

I think the show Testees is pretty funny.

IT Crowd and Clone were decent.

Reaper is charming but way to much crappy teen drama.

When the fuck is the Mighty Boosh coming back!?!?!!?!?!?!?

I like Mighty Boosh, and am waiting for its return, as I am with Peep Show which is due to be back some time this year.
Never seen an episode of 24, maybe I should grab them. True Blood I have all of the episodes downloaded that were posted (thanks phantom nzb poster! :) ).

How about Ideal?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417332/

It's a very dark, surreal comedy. Series 5 currently showing on BBC3 is the weirdest yet. If you liked TLOG you may well appreciate this.
