Please can you post the big things that need addressing in terms of the site, this is so i can prioritise and fix em since I've neglected the code for a while now.

Browsing is OK, but posting takes long. A bit annoying.

A parser for NZBs uploads! Groups, upload age, uploader.

And yes, posting is not very slow, but it's usually slower than the average ed2k forum.

It has been worse a while back and you (spud) explained it in the Site issues thread. Still, it takes some time, so when I post something here, I switch to a different tab to read or do something else in the meantime. I think posting should be so quick that that isn't even necessary.

Example: posting this viewtopic.php?p=207056#p207056 took 40 seconds.

this, with a 1mb/s download off of newsgroup took...
edit: 1.5 seconds.

I can't fix what I can't replicate :( Sounds like a timezone thing, where are you from, when do you post, etc.

What I noticed regarding this issue is that editing the first post in the "What do you have ready to release/rip" thread takes sometimes minutes.

Editing a post with 1 line of text takes only 1 second, but posting a larger body of text takes something between 20 and 40.

edit: posting this viewtopic.php?p=207091#p207091 took 10 seconds, I posted it just now (1 minute ago) and I'm in Amsterdam timezone.

Yes, I think the length of the post is the key. I experience the slowness every time I post one of my releases (long posts).

i just edited and reposted your last release and it took 1.5 seconds, so its definitely not something i'm able to reproduce.
I'm going to check the logs at 6:43pm.

Maybe that's because a large part of the text didn't change and was already stored in some cache or anything like that? Is that possible?

nope, full text post on each submit, its got to be something else. Cache is just display, not post.

Well, whatever is the case, the only difference I notice is that when I post something like 1 line of text, it is posted within the second, and when I post a releasepost, it takes 30-40.
