Well, hard to be upset about this remake since the original is mediocre at best. Looks like they made it into a zombie movie though, which is sad cuz it was one of the only Romero movies that wasn't zombies  Next they remake Martin, but he's a zombie! and Knightriders are now zombies! and then Monkey Shines, where the monkey is a zombie! and the Dark half is now... we'll yeah they all are fast-walking zombies too!

I'm not looking forward to the remake of the remake of The Thing or the remake of the remake of the Fly. :wacky:

Saw the trailer for this when I went to see Daybreakers. Looks pretty shitty. I like the original a good deal. Not down with this.

Daybreakers was pretty goddamn good, btw. I'm too lazy to see if anyone started a thread about it.

I think it looks like it may be a fair effort.

There was a Triffids remake on British TV last year with Eddie Izzard in it.

http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt1332653/

It was total wang.

@crazies remake, i've downloaded the 1080p bluray rip with line audio and watched it the other night. Not bad, could have been worse... Timothy Olyphant reminds me of a younger Michael Biehn

It is clear that the current round of remakes of horror are far from over, and the results obtained so far has mainly been surprisingly good. This trend continues with "The Crazies"-a reinvention of George Romero little seen 1973 original. The plot is simple: between a biological agent in water in a small town in Iowa called Ogden Marsh and turns people into homicidal maniacs.

So... Does that mean you haven' t seen it yet? If not, give it a try, nothing special but it's entertaining enough. BTW, are you a spambot?

Nah, I kinda agree with you. The original had pacing problems for sure. A little too much lingering on the sad Zombies. At least the
remake had a bit more 'oomph' to it action wise. At least I didn't feel like poking my eyes out at the end of it.

Funnily enough my nieces boyfriend was in it, his dad owns an old plane where a lot of the plane scenes for british series/films are filmed, i've still got it all on my V+ box, should i bother watching it then??

Is it worse than the '70's (?) tv series?
