Yeah, that bottom stuff is normal on a vhs cap....it just break down to where you want to equal out the AR with cropping,it is of course to the rippers discretion on how much bottom feeder he wants to take off..I generally take it all off myself so I don't get that question you got asked  ....alot of vhs source movies do this unfortunately where they tend to go all over the place.
After saying all that...thanks for the rip man....Don;t think I had this one yet...great to get another from you since I haven't completed your others yet

I check and cropped away what I saw in the beginning, but sometimes it can get a bit worse leter into the movie. :?
Specially with ex-rental VHS movies.

Hehehe....no...just been taking a bit getting yours..I did finish Drive in today though and watched it...hilarious stuff...good effects in parts too....but could those cops get any more retarded then they already were?
Actually I lied(well not intentionally) as I just looked and found that I got The Pit finished and Halloween camp done :beerchug: Just not watched it yet.So I am going at good speed apperently for once...the real test is if Ohgod releases something...that is always the milemaker :P

Hope you didn't take what I said as a critique...like I said...the one downfall of VHS caps is that sometimes they do that shit....get them all nice and snug in crop and by the end the little line at the bottom shows up.I got a few like that myself so you aren't alone in this.Best way I have found is drag the whole thing through gknot and see what it looks like by the end  Widescreens are always the worst it seems when it comes to that by the way.

No, I didn't take that as a critique. I'm always happy to get any tips. I will check that out on my next release, because I know it's a problem on that movie as well. :D

I have this one on DVD, but it is a VHS transfer with hardcoded (Dutch) subs, much like The Lost Empire or Blades. Anyone interested?

I got it ripped, but I was busy last few weeks. It'll be released soon. Next week maybe or the week after that.
