Just read this over at fileheaven and thought i'd cross post:

If you're not familiar with Rob Ager, you simply have to subscribe to his channel and watch all of his videos. He has amazing analysis of films, mainly those of Kubrick, but not just.

This time he did something very different and original: He made a fan synopsis for a sequel to the movie The Thing. You simply have to watch it. It's very detailed and - as always with Rob - it's obvious that a LOT of thought and work has been put into it. I wish it could have been made into a real movie. Share this video with your friends, perhaps some buzz might make it happen:

Wow, that's some great analysis! i honestly never thought of some of the ideas and shows what I often forget, some director's really do think about their content and its not so much 'luck' creating successful films, there is a high level of skill and analysis required.

Although I don't agree with him on Alien 3... Alien 3 was much braver than Prometheus. There were more risks taken, and although relying on Ripley was not entirely necessary, it did not overly hinder the movie. However it is a passing comment he makes and isn't allowed to justify that opinion.
