There was a rumor about the HR Giger Dune with Salvador Dali playing the Barron.... basicaly after he was fired... I spent about a year looking then another 2 of keeping my ear open till I read in a book about mondern art that the film was never completed and there only exists a few unconnected scenes. I suppose you might be able to find a version of it but I have no idea where or how.

Anyone know if the 3 hour+ 'Directors Cut' of David Lynchs film version ever surfaced? Ive been doing a little searching since reading this post, and it appears that Ridley Scott was originally attached to direct, and he wanted Giger for it, but once Lynch took over, he didnt want Giger as he felt his work had become too recognisable after Alien! WTF! :o - still looked pretty Gigerish to me!...
Apparently, Lynch was forced to remove about an hour from his original film, (which would explain a few things), tho the full version had been shown to cast/crew prior to this.
So it must exist somewhere!?...
