"Romasanta (2004) "

Imdb

Code:
Galicia, 1850. A terror stalks the land. More and more people disappear daily. The locals tell of a legend?the dreadful 'Werewolf of Allariz'. And then the bodies start to appear, covered in savage gashes and, to the trained eye, precise surgical cuts?.In the same blood rich vein as Brotherhood of the Wolf and similarly based on actual events, Romasanta tells the story of travelling vendor Manuel (Julian Sands) who moves in with the lovely Josephine and her sister Barbara in a small cottage on the edge of a wolf plagued forest. When Josephine disappears on a routine trip to town, Barbara suspects Manuel is the legendary werewolf and leads a group of incensed local villagers to capture him.

But when renowned anthropologist Professor Phillips is called in by the local magistrate, a blood curdling tale of true and very human evil begins to unfold in this original and memorably atmospheric chiller.

It could, but I don't like to waste it. Only when I have downloaded everything else I would like to see, I'd take a dvdr.
