Quote:
Terrorvision
Sherman Putterman
1986
Terrorvision is a very peculiar horror-comedy that has the word "camp" written all over it. This fairy tale is about a sloppy alien puppet monster who, presumably by accident, enters Planet Earth via a TV satellite dish. This enormous monster appears on the TV screen at first, then - talk about visual effects - it eventually materializes, appearing in the flesh. Talk about audience participation! Gerrit Graham and Mary Wodornov are the Puttermans, the heads of a very dysfunctional family with a military-obsessed son and his survivalist grandfather. The Puttermans do not realize just how real the monster they see on TV is. They also have a crazed daughter who loves heavy metal rock music and her mentally inept boyfriend, who looks like Kid Rock minus the attitude and pizzazz. There is also a horror movie hostess, Medusa (Jennifer Richards), who fits into this scheme for absolutely no plausible reason. Meanwhile, the monster devours each of the family members one by one, later reproducing their heads when necessary in order to cover up its actions. Planet Earth is in grave danger, and the only chance of stopping this hungry creature is (take a wild guess) with the help of an intergalactic police alien. He explains to everyone that this creature was originally suppose to be disposed of, but it winded up on Planet Earth instead. This interstellar cop is the only one who can blast the gross alien creature into oblivion! In addition to being a delightfully stomach-churning horror experience, Terrorvision is a satire on the media-obsessed suburban middle class family. The Puttermans make The Simpsons look and act like a mature, civilized, and pleasantly lovable family. If you thought that your own family was dysfunctional, check these guys out. They add new meaning to that word!

Drizztcat, you can't download these files unless you have a software named eMule installed and running on you PC.

All the details here:

eMule FAQ

Just ask if you still have problems, and welcome to HHAH :)

you aren't burning it right by the sounds of it. avi files needs to be burnt in data mode, they aren't dvd-video compliant. If you convert it to dvd-video then its being re-encoded to mpeg2 (lossy) or if you choose cd-video, its being converted to mpeg1/2 (horrendously lossy). Theses will play in old dvd players, but its because you've compressed and converted it.

You are better off spending a small amount of money on a standalone player (best is a modified xbox 1) capable of playing divx/xvid files. You just burn the xvid avi files as data files, ie. its just drag and drop in a data project, you can add as many avis as you want to fill the disc.

When you put the disc into your pc, you should see the avi as a file on the cdr/dvdr. It of course will not play in old dvd players in this format, they need to be divx/xvid standalones.

In any case, this movie needs an official dvd release already.
