With the John documentaries, you tend to laugh with him, rather than at him - especially with the second one. He's such a sound bloke, you can't help but like him.

Yeah, John is a great bloke - The second documentary he basically says that he finds the first one very funny. You laugh with him, because he is so amiable
As Visceral says, John is a great guy, with a good sense of humour and a way with the ladies, he's also done a HUGE amount to bring tourettes into the public eye and raise awareness etc.
If you enjoy these documentaries, you should buy the DVD as each one sold donates money to the Scottish Tourettes Society

I really enjoyed both of these when they first aired.
John's tourettes seems positively tame compared to the recent winner of Big Brother - Pete. And no I didn't watch much of it, but the missus did and I saw a fair bit of him. During stressful times it escalated a lot. If anyone saw the finale when he eventually won will know how bad he could get. but again, like John, a very amiable bloke who deserved to win BB.
