This rare 90 minute documentary examines Hollywood underground phenomenon, THE GODDESS BUNNY, a horribly misshapen, polio stricken performing transvestite. The film follows Bunny and her bizarre band of deformed, retarded and sexually confused friends around the L.A. club scene and far beyond...even to odd locales like the infamous Barker ranch hideout in Death Valley where the killers of Sharon Tate were captured decades ago. Truly one of the WEIRDEST films ever made.

In conclusion, I initially purchased this video to extend my fascination with the human freakshow that was exhibited in the widely circulated tap-dancing video. However, the movie ended with me becoming empathetic with Baima's illness, his struggles, and the ambitions to become famous. I felt like I got to know Baima at a much deeper level than the simple one-dimensional marionette-like character that got me interested in the first place. So would I recommend this film? Yes, if you want to know more about Johnnie Baima and his life. And no, this isn't recommended if you're looking for something freaky to watch because the weird factor will wear off shortly after you start watching.

Thanks to Oofertman@KG for the DVD-R-from-VHS and to Sleazoid@KG for the DivX.

I don't like the Nick Bougas guy (and generally the LaVeyans wankers), anyawy this Goddess Bunny/Sandie Crisp/Johnnie Baima seems someone worth knowing.

Ok, I guess this was too much even for HHAH

(btw, I'm surprised that Bougas' infamous Death Scenes tapes still show no signs of turning up?)

i still got a super shitty quality vhs version of "death scenes 2" but i guess its not ripworthy in that quality, havent seen or own number 1, but would surely like to...

maybe its my (past) affiliation with the industrial-noise scene (RADIO WEREWOLF!...he had a small part in this project of laveys daughter and nicolas schreck, still selling a rare lp of them on german ebay lol), or my habit of collecting serial killer stuff back in the days, but i always thought highly of bougas and his works/collection...

I do believe that most artists in there (Bougas too, Rice, Sotos, Genesis P....) are intelligent people... but it seems to me that their shock-the-bourgeois tactics wore thin pretty soon, and they all end up shoving themselves into a corner, or indulging in non-ironic selfdestruction, or becoming tired joke ("satanism", come on (yeah yeah I know it's not *actually* about satan, but guess what will make the headlines)! or two-dime social darwinism...) or doing OST for more or less crappy hollywood movies (Graeme Revell please stop! )

Sotos seems to be doing a little better than the others. But I'll have to take a look to his new book for Creation and see what he's been up too since last time I've read something by him.

Heh, read some of his Proxy book, was almost unreadable. What a strange mess.

I wasn't aware that Sotos wrote. What I do know is the he saw my grindcore band play recently. I was just floored when I saw him standing in the crowd at a anarchist/punk collective house next to a friend of mine. Just fucking unreal!
