Quote:
n the early part of the 21st Century, an unknown virus began spreading among the populous. Within weeks it had engulfed the entire planet, from the smallest rural communities to the greatest cities. Upon the death of its host, the virus would reanimate the corpse until it was no longer able to support itself. Soon, the planet was infested with a new threat - the undead. So begins our journey into the dystopian world of The Zombie Diaries.

Three compelling video diaries chart the early days of the plague, right through to the last days of the apocalypse:

* A documentary film crew travel to the countryside to make a movie about the virus. Unaware of what is happening around the country, the team is accidentally caught up in the outbreak. They later take shelter in a nearby wood, where a much more sinister fate awaits them.
* A husband and wife escape London and pick up a mysterious hitchhiker as they scavenge the remnants of dead towns, unaware of the dangers that wait for them in the shadows.
* group of survivors flee to an old farm to seek refuge, only to find themselves under siege from creatures that attack in the dead of night.

Watch the devastation unfold through the eyes of those who were there...

Probably is Zombie Diaries:

I've tried to get this off binaries too - either corrupt or Zombie Diaries as well. Wonder where it is :wacky:

Deleted. It is Zombie Diaries. Too bad, the first 30 minutes I really thought this is an interesting good zombie film. Camera work and acting did not look too bad for an indy. But then it got more and more confusing and I got sick of the dark flashlight scenes. If I wanted something like that, I would look for a zombie radio play. After an hour this one only sucked. Did not need to see the ending.

Briefly. A cameo of a couple of minutes playing a newspaper editor type.

More suprising is Dot Cotton's role as lead zombie.

This is not the George A Romero film. I've seen the trailer for this and it looks like it could be decent. I've been wondering about seeing it so may give it a watch. The guys who made it actually post on imdb as well, and have been posting on the Romero boards which is probably a little cheeky, but I can understand their need to promote the film in some way.

British independent zombie movie, so probably worth a watch.

I actually bought a copy, y'know doing my bit for indie British horror.

It's got some very good moments as well as some achingly banal parts. The build-up, I thought, was very good. The acting, although sttuffy at times, was pretty good. The make up, gore and effects are all adequate without being memorable.

However, overall, it suffers from being heavily predictable as well as a certain character arc that is just bollocks. And, as much as I hate to agree with that smug cock Kim Newman, it is SORELY lacking in humour.

6 out of 10.

Er, in case that's of any help to anyone?

I agree. I know it's eseential, so I claim it.

Was about to puke after 10 minutes. Same bad feelings as for The Blair Witch Project. I know, a steadycam is out of price, but wow, roller coaster during 80 minutes, you have to hold on. But yes, the montage is not too bad and for a cheap movie (turn off the camera while I break the door please, so we won't have to call a locksmith to fix mum's door when done...), it's not too bad.

I really tried to watch this, I can forgive awful acting and no plot if a film is heavy on
the gore. This one has none to speak of. lots of talking though.

I watched it on a 6ft x 4ft projected cinema screen in a dark room. I know the shakey
camerawork style may be all the rage with the MTV youth of today but after 15mins i felt
really sick and by 20 i had to switch it off. I skimmed through the rest of this just
to see if i was missing much.

I rarely slate films having myself worked on some low budget productions of my own, I know
how hard it is to get people to even turn up let alone act well! Just if I had a load of actors
that couldnt act, i would minimise the hokey dialogue and have lots of gore. These turkeys
have done the opposite.

...and this way at least tried to do the right thing. Gore can never improve a movie. A bad story or bad actors do not get any better by excessive gore and a good story or good actors do not get worse if in the movie bloody body parts are splattered left and right. Unfortunately many indy producers seem to think otherwise. Just add enough blood and the brain dead audience will buy anything. This is the reason why indy horror movie is a synonym for worthless unwatchable shit.
