My ISP will be upping my connection speed to 3 meg by the end of May, for FREE. Fuckin eh is all I can say. Only drawback is it looks like no upload speed increase, maybe that will follow soon?

Are NTL doing free increases too then? TW is just a 50% increase across the board, so mine will hit 3 meg, 1 meg will be upgraded to 1.5 etc. Only exclusions are punters who connect thru there set top boxes, they cannot exceed 1meg so 512 will get increased to 756, but 1 meg will stay the same for those poor saps.

Not that I care, 3 meg is shit hot, but pretty useless for mule cos so much of the upload will be eaten up at that speed. If I max out my DL now I lose about 14K of my upload, oh well.

Got osme conflicting info tho from TW, they claim with the free upgrades we will be able to stream media from our computers faster, and also upload pics and files faster. Quite how increasing ya download and not the upload will make uploading faster is beyond me, I am betting they are just trying to impress newbs. Anyways, i will let ya know what they reply to my mail to them asking them why they bullshit so much LOL

Hey guys, I got me 3 meg now, quite nice having 370K downloads, just wish the mule was that quick LOL I asked them if I could have 3 meg up too, but they told me I already have 256k and that is all I need. Cheeky fuckers trying to tell me what I want.

I also asked could I forget the 1meg increase and have my upload switched upto 512k, but they said no. Oh well, as soon as I can get more upload I will switch ISP's.

well i on 600/128 and as far as i know it will go up to 750/128. f*ckin cheapskate NTHelL! like others rarely max out my DL connection atm neway - really would like a fatter UL tho :evil:

Upgraded from 2mbit/400kbit to 8mbit/800kbit a few months ago (as most people did here, since there was no change in price (~?48/month)
