I think it was great, or at least much better than the first part. It has decent amount of gore and - a big surprise for me - is to a great extent a splatter movie, it even has this VHS-ish feel sometimes. 
I still can't decide whether I'm going to keep it, but that's only because I'm becoming more selective recently - i just realised how many movies I burn and how many I never come back to.

The first one was magnificent in its way, as an anti-war, anti-americanisation, anti-nazi war movie (because that's the opposite of what the movie actually shows you). Its cheesey (just listen to the lines the character's utter... it couldn't be any cheesier if it was read from a propaganda poster itself... 'come on you apes, you want to live forever?'), hyper violent ('medic') and totally insensitive, which was its whole point. Just in the same way that Robocop was (although I prefer Robocop )
But the propaganda driven aryan (notice a certain blonde hair, blue eyes motif to the casting? ) war machine vs. the faceless, merciless, 'evil' enemy sounds awfully familiar in this day of age I thought, although not great, the original is deeply misunderstood and highly underrated. It's actually an alright movie in my view.
In contrast, I thought this was a shallow, horror film. Not much to it, and not really that good. I kept it of course, but I keep nearly everything I download
My 2 cents.

I think I prefer it this way - I didn't think the first one was really that good with all its allusions and political message. I've seen other movies convey the same message, only in a better way. This one is a primitive horror, and I like it for that. At least it's not pretending to have any message.
Tastes differ.
