This was only released for sale in Australia on 2 VHS tapes
I had it on tape recorded from tv and deleted like 2 1/2 hours of it maintaining the last 15 minutes or so

If anyone has this movie, hopefully it can be spread.

yes it is... I can post some screenies of it of what I've left.

Rick Baker, 6 time academy aware winner did the make up effects and John Dykstra, 1 time academy award winner, did the visual effects.
both worked on Star Wars : A New Hope

now I just hope it's not a copy of an original tape, since that dude is selling two tapes at the moment.

but ofcourse... the quality of the tape better be good to begin with or else I will kick some english buttocks.

it will be a 2CD though, it's close to a 3 hour movie.

(it still hasn't arrived yet)

what's a good resolution to have

I normally use max resolution 768x576, but not many slower computers can play it fluently (<1000mhz)

I can do 640x480

That would be me. My computer's still down w/ a dead MB till I can get it replaced. So my copy does noone any good till I get my system up & running again. I'll post back if I find the series.

Anything more than 640 for a VHS rip is kinda excessive. 640x480 would be great for DivX/XivD/Ogg/MP3.

What about SVCD???

I could do that too, but I will leave that too my brother, he's into that stuff more than me. I'm more of an AVI man

SVCD - noooooooooooooo!!!!
most come as bin & cue files and once burnt cannot be reshared so those sort of rips tend to die out quickly!
oh and for some strange reason some svcd's seem to not want to play on either of my pc's for me

I got my first package which my mate got me (Wing Commander IV DVD). it took 10 days to arrive here (UK -> Netherlands)

so I hope by the end of the month I've my tape.
