I saw this long ago on TV late one night, it's weird and eerie, especially the cries of a dying sea mammal heard on the soundtrack.

Yeah, that's where I saw it too, as part of the Moviedrome seires on BBC2 with Alex Cox, I'd not seen hide nor hair of it since, but when I found the DVD, I HAD to have it.
A pleasant surprise, it's easily as good as I remember it and IMHO it's very underrated on imdb.

Yeah but what isn't underrated there?The general concensus is that if they say it sucks then it usually is good...User reviews are the worst of all..it at times gets both painful and infuriating sludging through that clap trap.  :bananabang1:
