Director's Cut available in original 2.35:1 cinemascope ratio on Japanese Laserdisc but director hates his own version!. US cut substantially different, excising whole subplot. UK cut is the best, director approved.

nope, this'll be the best quality you'll find for the DC i reckon

Well...Theoretically we "could" make a dvd-r.But don't hold your breath....We got to much stuff up and coming to release before we even think about something like that.
Sometimes like with these director cuts it is only avail in VHS version.Sorry we can't help yo out on that. But the vhs rip is great.

Ever seen the Cronenburg interviews? He will cut more out of a movie then even required by the MPAA....I mean..it isn't all cases...but I can imagine it would be hard to be objective with your own material...If you are a perfectionist then it's never good enough....If you are Paul W. Anderson then you think everything is always good enough...no matter how shitty it is.

You can simply say:
George Lucas

and everyone will know exactly what you mean. Talk about making your movies increasingly worse with reedits
