Well spud , let's take our debate over here shall we ?

@ everybody - Spud rates jigle higher than a internal search ...
I don't......

What do you all use for raw search ?

Jigle is ok. However, have not used neither it nor the internal search much lately. My dl list is long enough with the stuff I find here. No need to enlarge it even more. :-)

erm is there any point to this topic really?
You got your preference others have got those. If you read I use both and don't care, jigle normally give more results, plus source locations, inbuilt is faster, hell i bet some people don't even know what jigle is ;)

Saying jigle sucks is blatantly wrong though imo, it is a valuable resource in locating files.

There's already one:
http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic. ... 2&start=20
;)

Might want to put a poll on the first post seeing if people use jigle, filedonkey or haven't heard of them. I hope everyone knows wat the inbuilt one was.

I agree with wargand though, I got enough shit and hardly use any search apart from appz and tv episodes without threds.

don't take it as a personal attack.....

It's just that out of personal experience.......jigle just seriously fails...not one or two cases.....BUT OVER A DOZEN.....

true - when I say rare......I mean truly RARE....<10 sources.....

this is me sharing my experiences.........what people do with it I frankly don't give a rats arse......

Counter that with, no... no it doesn't. I download lots of rare stuff via jigle with a very low source count :) But as it's personal expeience I'll take your word for it and say that normally isn't the case for me at least :)

Jigle has some serious advantages over eMule search. It gives you alternate names for files, which is quite useful if you want to post something and you're not sure who's the original releaser. Also, it gives some additional data. However, jigle's serverlist is usually rather small - around 80-90 servers. I have more in my serverlist. But then again: eMule doesn't search them all...

Jigle is my main search stop. I use it alot, but seems more for research than just search. File donkey next, but rarely. Built in search I've used maybe twice.

I hope that isn't like the edonkeybot search else I curse your willy green.

Does it have restrictions on it like emule and jigle do? I mean, that little program doesn't just hammer the severs does it? :?

hmm, i hope not, if it was announced on emule or edonkey forums it would get slated and their server would probably be attacked if it had no restrictions i'd bet.
