Just outta intrest, can someone tell me how fast T1 and Twhatever else connections are? Just wanna see how my connection shapes up LOL

@PCA, LOL click upto 1 meg. I was trying to find a decent way of wording the questions, but guess I had too much green to be able to think straight.

bog standard dsl line here

down connection says 576 but it's probably more like 512 in all reality

and up transfer rate says 288 but then it's probably more like 256

You most likely do have a little more than advertised, NTL upped the connection of their 512 to 600, but still used to market it as 512, apparently they did this so the extra could be used for all the overheads, and customers would still be able get atleast 512. Or something like that LOL

I am only being nosey as my connection will be 2meg down by 2moro, fingers crossed LOL, just a shame I still cannot get more than 256 up.

I had 1meg down and 256 up, but woulda paid the extra cash for 1 down and 512 up instead, but what the fuck, I got the cash and extra speed is always good LOL Guess we will have to wait for the day when the UK ISP's decide we are ready for more upload, those damn wankers.

Actually I gotta say that of all the ISP's I have had, TeleWest BlueYonder has actually been really good for the last year. Before that it was pretty bad and seemed to take an age to ever fix anything, but what with the price drop on the horizon and the possibility of increased upload things look pretty good now.

I'm glad to see most people have the same connection as me. Who else in the UK is willing to pay ?40 for 1MB? And as for BT, in two years I've never had a problem... yet :wink:
