Well as above,

was wondering how many ed2k links one can actually que for donwload in emule . And what to do when suddenly your pc crashes, is there a way to save the ed2k links so that you can restore them in the mule after one has recovered from a crash.

I have a lot in que at the moment, well IMHO anyways would be a bummer if all the links would dissapear and i have to strat clickin all over again. Yeah i know imk lazy !! :beerchug:

For me it is a question of HD space. I have a couple of hundred movies paused, since whenever I come across a link on a forum I like the look of, I'll copy it to notepad and paste it into my DL list the next time I start eMule, and it will stay paused until I start it manually.

So I have always presumed that I can add as many links as I want, as long as I have enough HD space when I start each one.

Unless anyone knows any different?

Ahhh great that's a good idea of you pasting the links into you're notepad will do that also as for the harddisk space if have almost everything on pause myabe there are 25 up to 30 movies running, but there's not such a way of actually saving the links inside the mule ??

as long as you don't download any of the file, no part file is created, therefore technically its infinite.

I understand that, but there is no way that you can save the ed2k links you have in que, for if your pc crashes............ and one is able to paste that file into the new mule and you have the links you wanted to d/l earlier?.

You guys still understand??? , the beer is taking it's toll now lol :beerchug:

yes, you can use javascript to go through a html list of ed2k. But the easiest way is to backup your part.met files ;)

Ok but the file's which are paused (im talkin' files here which haven't received any bytes yet) are already in de part.met files ??

if so how can one see the files which are not beiing downloaded in the part.met file , because i see no sense in backing up partly finished downloads simply because i don't have the diskspace to do such a thing.

I should think so, yes. part.met store file info, not the part files. There's a n option to backup all your settings and config files too... if your really worried do that too.

Personally, I'm not really that bothered about readding downloads... and emule by default backs up my files.

Ok but I was actually asking this in this context, when my pc eventually crashes, i don't want to be losing all my ed2k links, you guys all know that sometimes u just don't remember where you did find a certain link. :matrix:

Well the files are designated in 3 digits.....

So ...* dramatic humming* ...has anyone ever tried to down more than 999 files ?

and what does that spell upside down ? *thunder*

lol not showing off, i need another drive as it is. There's a thread in hardware/software where people list their systems if you want to see people showing off

Then again, its technically the pc showing off, since its the one with the hard drive space.... I just got this damn noggin... how much data can the human brain hold anyway? And does anyone have a compatable IDE cable?
