if your blueyonder still, i'm pretty sure its 1mbit up that they are under performing on, not 769K that they are overperforming on ;)

I get around 130kb/s up before it starts to hit my download speed, unless its newsgroups which doesn't care in the slightest about uploads for wahtever reason (its usually the ACK packets from your download that hit the critical point and you can't respond to them and upload at over your line speed, hence why your download drops... you appear as a non-responder to other peers)

Hmmm, well all I know is that the 10mb has a max upload of 512k & after the 20mb upgrade its going to be increased to 768k.
There isnt a 1mb upload that I've heard.

OK, a little ray of hope on this: I've just switched (or am in the process of doing so) from Virgin Media to NTLTelewest - turns out that NTLTelewest still exist, but only selling to "Businesses".

The connection is not throttled unlike the VM connections and also offers a "free" phone line and router included in the price, which is £3 more than VM @ £40 per month. This is a Fixed IP as well so you can finally use that domain name you bought

http://www.ntltelewestbusiness.co.uk/

Makes you realise just how piss poor VM are, well worth another £3 to me to have a usable (past 4pm) connection
