my pic isnt on his myspace? i checked his page. the person who looked up myspace just assumed my myspace is jesseflo but its not to my surprise its actually a common user name. its just a unfortunate coincedence.lol.mine is jflo2007 on myspace.i hope everyone knows im not some fat guy pretending to be a girl.lol. i want to be friends here so i dont want that to be associated with me.

I don't think an avatar is necessary to make friends here. And real life looks isn't either. Whether thiis image is really you or not is absolutely irrelevant for me. We won't meet in person anyways. :lol:

I'd say there's a small point of contention here; as you state an avatar sure as hell isn't needed to achieve anything that's for sure, but in terms of the way the human mind actually works I would strong recommend the use of one.

Cognitively its very helpful as the mind is visual, and you sure as hell find people remember people at lot easier than if they rely solely on a bit of text

Hi Spud, you are right of course, but this wasn't really what I meant. For recognition any avatar is fine, but not no avatar. :-)

For example I use an old picture of myself in the early '80s.
